Laith Hilfi: Tax Senior

Laith joined the audit department at Hazlems Fenton in 1998 under a training contract.
In 2001 he moved to the tax department where he works closely with the tax managers, assisting in all areas of personal and corporate tax.

Yasmeen Hirji CTA, ATT, MAAT

Yasmeen Hirji qualified as a member of the Institute of Taxation in November 1994. Before joining Hazlems Fenton in 1997 she worked as a personal assistant to partners in a medium-sized firm based in London.
Currently she assists the partners in advising high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and major partnerships on all areas of their personal and business tax matters, including Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and Trusts.

David Hughes
David is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, with over 20 years experience in providing UK and international taxation advice. David spent over 7 years in the private client department of Chiltern Plc, where he advised high net wealth and entrepreneurial clients including non-domiciled individuals and those wishing to invest into the UK. He has written many articles on taxation issues published in the professional press and has recently written CCH’s Tax Digest explaining the new non-domiciled tax regime. David is also a member of STEP and has lectured on taxation matters. He joined from Chiltern’s successor firm, a mid-tier firm of chartered accountants in April 2009.
Teresa Langston CTA

Teresa Langston qualified as a member of the Institute of Taxation in November 1990. She then worked for sixteen years in a medium sized practice in Buckinghamshire before joining Sharpe Fairbrother. Following six years managing the tax department Teresa joined Hazlems Fenton in 2008 as part of the merger with Sharpe Fairbrother.
She has many years experience of dealing with personal and non corporate business tax matters, including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, National Insurance, Revenue enquiries and Trusts. Teresa is responsible for managing the taxation affairs of a variety of clients including High Net Worth individuals, Partnerships, Directors and Owner-Managed Businesses

John Perkins ACA

John qualified as a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton and subsequently moved to Deloitte & Touche to specialise in tax. He then spent 15 years with a medium-sized London firm before joining Hazlems Fenton in 2006 as a senior tax manager
John is responsible for overseeing the firm's corporate tax function and providing tax advice on a wide range of issues. He has many years experience of dealing with owner-managed businesses. His expertise includes corporate tax planning, reorganisations and demergers, company sales and acquisitions, CGT planning, employee share schemes, HMRC investigations and share valuations
Aarti Shah ACA: Tax Senior

Aarti qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in December 2005. Before joining Hazlems Fenton in November 2005 she trained with a small firm based in Surrey.
Currently she assists the partners in advising clients on compliance issues and their personal and business tax affairs.
