FAKE HMRC EMAILS - latest in circulation

The wording below is from the latest two fake emails in circulation, please note that the links provided appear to be to the genuine H M Revenue & Customs home page but they are not. 

They are scams please do not enter any details on the pages that the emails link to.

Tax Refund Notification


We've been notified by HM Revenue & Customs Refund Department that your tax payment refund has accrued up to 191.47 GBP, you are advised to respond Swiftly to this mail so as to facilitate the processed within 72hours of receiving the information thats required.


On going through files dated 01/25/2010, The following Banks are processed within 48hrs of recieving your information. Namely : Barclays Bank PLC, Cahoot Bank and Hsbc Bank Plc other banks are required to allow up to 72hrs. 

You are require to Submit the tax refund request using the tax refund reference below
