Your privacy is important to Hazlems Fenton. This privacy statement sets out how we'll protect your data, in line with the current legislation, through appropriate organisation and technical security measures/processes. It also describes your rights in relation to that data.

1. How Hazlems Fenton collects personal data

You can give us your personal data in a number of ways. For example, when your become a client, opt to receive information from us through our website, sign up to attend a seminar or when enquiring about our services.
When we collect data from you we'll ensure it's adequate for the purpose and never excessive. We'd like to send you marketing communications to keep you up to date with changes in the business regulatory environment including changes in Accounting and Taxation, but we'll only do so if you provide us with your consent. You can change your mind and opt out of this type of communication at any time, by following the directions included in those communications.

2. How Hazlems Fenton uses your personal data

  • Providing services that you have engaged us for including for example processing payroll, preparing personal tax returns and preparing sets of accounts.

We record your mailing preferences and use profiling techniques. When profiling - information such as your registered contact address is matched to a profile. This will indicate for example, whether you live in a remote rural area or a city centre location. The length of time we retain data to comply with statutory regulations is usually up to 7 years. We may retain data longer than 7 years where we feel it necessary and when we do so, the data will be stored securely, for example encrypted and saved on external hard drive, unless a client object by writing to their client partner.
